About Dragon Ball Evolution: It’s got a great story, there’s a lot of filler quests that can can be overwhelming if you’re a completionist. Combat took getting used to compared to the previous games. In order to enjoy the gameplay I added a Fall Damage Mod, Abilities Revamped, Combat Unleashed More Banter, More Healing Potions and Enhanced Camera. So i’m hesitant to recommend considering the heavy modding aforementioned but the story made it worth it for me....

About Happy Land: To any potential players or Amanita devs who maybe see this review, everything I’m about to say is to be taken as a compliment. This game left me so tired. Won’t say any specifics or otherwise spoilers, but the ending left me so tired with its implications and ideas, so buried in thought about the sum total of the whole experience and how it relates to elements of my own life and experience, to an extent that I can’t really say a video game ever has....

About Hunter X Athena: Of course I find more Hollow Knight circle jerk on an obscure souls like metroid-vania lmao. Shout out to the Rick and Morty equivalent fanbase for being absolutely everywhere. The game is incredibly fun but does suffer from some pretty glaring issues. The general metroid vania loop of explore-> kill things –> level –> acquire skills to advance further and backtrack explore is present. You won’t get the play time that you get out of better games like Ender Lillies, Vigil, Bloodstained, or even Rabi Ribi but the combat is really fun....

Mono Studio is a foreign developer with an amazing response time to the community, and has been adding patches and updates at a high pace. The game definitely reflects the effort the studio has put into the nooks and crannys of Insomnia, and anyone who’s a fan of RPGs or sci-fi should give it a try....
