About My Hero Mania: They need to stop stacking so many functions in the same controller button. Tap Y to change character – unless you’re too close to another character and instead you trigger a useless, annoying combo move. Hold Y to bring up the character menu – unless you’re playing a character that has a lengthy transformation sequence (looking at you Iron Man). Overall, I kept feeling annoyed with this game while I tried to get all the collectibles....

About Project Slayers: It’s a fun game and I’ve certainly enjoyed my 20+ hours with it on the whole but the deck strategy does not satisfy. You would expect different optimal setups for each of the 12 different classes but no, it always boils down to reduce your deck size to a minimum of cards that draw another and maximise damage. You don’t get to build interesting decks that are based around a theme or anything like that....

The appeal is meant to be that it’s realistic and immersive, and that it makes you realize how hard it would actually be to survive in a real zombie apocalypse, and it does this really well, so I’m giving it a positive review because it knows what it is and does it well. This game has a target audience, and I’m just not it, which doesn’t mean the game itself is bad....

Apart from that, although there are things that need to be developed and added, it still offers a nice atmosphere even in its current state. About Rat Washing Tycoon : It’s like Contagion, except third person and with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ controls. No indication where we’re aiming as the weapons are obscured by our player and there are no bullet holes, especially on the targets in the training area. Speaking of which, the training are just plops you into a small section with some items and you have to figure out how any of them are useful, which can be fun when it comes to weapons, but less so when you have no idea what that pill you just took did because you’re at perfect health....
About Redwood Prison: Extremely bare bones in its current state. No sound, simple tiles and cant scale UI/fullscreen that I could see so its running in a tiny window on my 57″ 1080p LCDTV. Looks like a 7DRL project. That being said, the fact that its so obviously running off 5e OGL is awesome, and with some fleshing out, this could be a fun and engrossing real Roguelike, especially for 5e fans....
